Equality and diversity for service users
Equality is about creating a fair system where every service user receives the best services they can, while diversity is about recognising and valuing the differences between people.
The principles of equality and diversity help us view each person’s individual needs, and to adapt the way we offer them care and support.
At Outlook Care systems are in place to ensure the needs of our service users are met. For example, we are able to access interpreters if necessary; we produce material in accessible format and staff ensure they are aware of local cultural groups, including a variety of places of worship, in their area.
